HE GIVES HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU

Psalm 91:11–12 "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone." You are about to step onto the road when something pulls you back just in time to avoid being hit by a speeding car. You are shocked. When you come to your senses, you ask yourself, “Could it be that an angel just saved me from a fatal accident?” I believe that angels walk with us. The verse tells us that God has given His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. This means that they go ahead of you to protect you from the snares of the enemy. But we may not know it when we encounter an angel. ( Hebrews 13:2 ). God tells us that we have an innumerable company of angels. ( Hebrews 12:22 ) And He has given them charge over us to protect us from accidents and other dangers. So don’t live fearful and limit your life. B elieve that God loves you and that His angels walk with you and

DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION

Psalm 91:2 "I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." When a great storm arose as Jesus and His disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee, He did not say to His disciples, “The storm is here to teach DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION s courage.” Instead, He took authority over the storm and said, “Peace, be still!” And there was a perfect calm. (Mark 4:39) When He met the widow of Nain whose only son had died, and on another occasion, the two sisters whose brother Lazarus had died, He didn’t tell them, “God wanted to take him home.” No, He spoke to the dead son: “Young man, I say to you, arise.” (Luke 7:14) And standing outside Lazarus’ tomb, He said, “Lazarus, come forth!” (John 11:43) And both men came back to life. What have you been saying about your situation? When you feel the pain in your body, don’t say of the Lord, “God wants me sick to teach me to trust Him more.” Instead, say, “Lord Jesus,

PRAYERS

Lord, I lift up my pastor to You. Thank You for his servant’s heart. Keep him from losing heart when ministry gets tough. Help him prove faithful with the things you have entrusted to him. Teach him Your ways so that he knows You and finds favor with You as He leads us. Keep him open and honest before You and help him to represent the truth plainly. (2 Corinthians 4:1; 1 Corinthians 4:1-3; Exodus 33:13) Father I pray for the lost members of our church. Let the gospel be presented to them not only through the sermon but also with power, the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share Your salvation. Help us to be the fragrance of Christ to them. We stand against the enemy and his attempts to keep them blinded to Your truth. (1 Thessalonians 1:5; Colossians 4:5; 2 Corinthians 2:15; 2 Corinthians 4:4) Father I pray for our Women’s Ministry. Encourage our older women to train the younger in family issues. Teach our women to be virtuous—women

FOCUS ON THE FINISHED WORK FOR DIVINE HEALTH

Psalm 118:8 ''It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." A lot of people think that the way to get health is to watch what they eat. For example, many people say that the Mediterranean diet is a very healthy one. I agree, generally. But do you know that the people whom Jesus healed were also on a Mediterranean diet? They did not eat pork and prawns, for example, because they were Jews and these things are not kosher for them. I know that you want to walk in divine health. But God does not want your focus to be on food—what to eat, what not to eat—or even exercise—how to exercise, when to exercise. All these are natural means which the people of the world trust in. It is better to trust in the Lord and His finished work, than to put your confidence in the latest man-made diet plans and exercise regimes. At the cross, Jesus took your sicknesses and carried your pains, and by His stripes you were healed. (Isaiah 53:4–5) The Bible even tells us h

GOD'S GRACE IS UNMIRITED

Image
Galatians 5:4 "You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace." What is the grace of God? Simply put, the grace of God is God blessing, healing and delivering you because of Jesus. The grace of God is His unearned, unmerited and undeserved favor toward you simply because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross. Because God’s grace is based on Jesus’ work and not yours, the only way you fall from this grace is by believing that you can earn, merit and deserve it through your obedience and good works. For example, you fall from grace when you say, “God has to answer my prayer because I have prayed long enough.” You also fall from grace when you think that because you are serving in church or you have kicked a bad habit, God is pleased with you and He has to bless you. When you think that it is b

JESUS, THE MEASURE OF YOUR RIGHTEUOSNESS

2 Corinthians 5:21   "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" God wants us to seek His righteousness and not our own righteousness. When we seek our own righteousness, we will always end up feeling miserable because we can never be righteous by our works, no matter how hard we try. That is why our loving Father wants us to remember that righteousness is not right behavior but a person—Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30), and that we have “become the righteousness of God in Him”. I know of a lady who, before coming to our church, attempted to establish her own righteousness by confessing all her sins to “clean” herself up. But she found that the more she confessed her sins, the more sins she discovered in herself. She became guilt-ridden and miserable. Feeling stressed out and weary of confessing her sins all the time, she eventually left the church she was attending. In fact, she never stepped into an

ODE FRIENDSHIP

MOLLY RAMONA They're the few people who accept silence over conversation A relationship like this denies silly promises and persuasion You don't feel the need to second guess thoughts or measure words Their love comes in wholes, not halves, not thirds They're the ones that guide you through when fate takes a turn Fights, small and large, end in forgiveness, never a burn You forget about first impressions and the feelings they brought You're grateful for who they are and you forgive 'em for what they're not
