FOUR DANGEROUS SYMPTOMS OF PRIDE.

Image
Pride is the undoing of the Christians faith. It most often breeds overconfidence in our lives while preventing us from doing the one thing we should be…calling out for our Savior. As Jesus said in Mark 2:17 “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” When we allow pride to rule our lives, we tend to push Christ to the side…because, after all we aren’t sick. As dangerous as it is, pride is also very difficult to spot. Have you ever heard the saying “I’m the least prideful person I know.” We laugh, but often we subconsciously take on that attitude. There are many areas in our lives in which pride can seep in. For that reason we have compiled a few symptoms of pride for us as believers to self diagnose When we allow pride to rule our lives, we tend to push Christ to the side…because, after all we aren’t sick. As dangerous as it is, pride is also very difficult to spot. Have you ever heard the saying “I...

When you’re feeling down, everything may seem very bleak, and it may seem hard for you to keep your eyes on God. You may feel Depressed, Down, Sad, Gloomy, Unhappy, Blue, Distressed, Rejected, Low Spirited, Discouraged and Overwhelmed, and every problem may seem much bigger than it really is. #1 Remember God hears you – Cry out to God Psalm 34:17-20, When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 18:6, In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. Philippians 4:6-7, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, whi...

PRAYERS

Image
Lord, I lift up my pastor to You. Thank You for his servant’s heart. Keep him from losing heart when ministry gets tough. Help him prove faithful with the things you have entrusted to him. Teach him Your ways so that he knows You and finds favor with You as He leads us. Keep him open and honest before You and help him to represent the truth plainly. (2 Corinthians 4:1; 1 Corinthians 4:1-3; Exodus 33:13) Father I pray for the lost members of our church. Let the gospel be presented to them not only through the sermon but also with power, the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share Your salvation. Help us to be the fragrance of Christ to them. We stand against the enemy and his attempts to keep them blinded to Your truth. (1 Thessalonians 1:5; Colossians 4:5; 2 Corinthians 2:15; 2 Corinthians 4:4) Father I pray for our Women’s Ministry. Encourage our older women to train the younger in family issues. Teach our women to be virt...
