FOUR DANGEROUS SYMPTOMS OF PRIDE.

Image
Pride is the undoing of the Christians faith. It most often breeds overconfidence in our lives while preventing us from doing the one thing we should be…calling out for our Savior. As Jesus said in Mark 2:17 “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” When we allow pride to rule our lives, we tend to push Christ to the side…because, after all we aren’t sick. As dangerous as it is, pride is also very difficult to spot. Have you ever heard the saying “I’m the least prideful person I know.” We laugh, but often we subconsciously take on that attitude. There are many areas in our lives in which pride can seep in. For that reason we have compiled a few symptoms of pride for us as believers to self diagnose When we allow pride to rule our lives, we tend to push Christ to the side…because, after all we aren’t sick. As dangerous as it is, pride is also very difficult to spot. Have you ever heard the saying “I

WHEN GOD SPEAKS EVERYTHING CHANGES

Image
"When God speaks atmospheres change. When God speak tree world have got to come to order both the demonic world, angelic world and the kingdom of man have to come to ordering God speaks. When God speaks things have to change they can't remain the same and until God speaks your situations will remain the same. So whatever the prophet, apostle or the preacher is going to release into your world, you have to yell what God is saying because unless He speak nothing will change everything will remain the same. I do believe that when God speaks everything that seems impossible becomes possible, and if we need a change to happen next year we need to start now. Even if we see other people killing each other we need to go deeper in prayers because God backs His word. I know that what seems difficult is got to be made easier and that can only be done when God speaks." © Jacob Mcmende Mokoit ®™°√ #Keep_Peace #Love_one_another Despite everything we are #One_Kenya_One_Nation #One_

YOU MAY FEEL DEPRESSED, REJECTED, DOWN, LOW SPIRITED, GLOOMY, DISCOURAGED, SAD, BLUE, OVERWHELMED OR UNHAPPY AND EVERY PROBLEM MAY SEEM MUCH BIGGER THAN IT REALLY IS.

When you’re feeling down, everything may seem very bleak, and it may seem hard for you to keep your eyes on God. You may feel Depressed, Down, Sad, Gloomy, Unhappy, Blue, Distressed, Rejected, Low Spirited, Discouraged and Overwhelmed, and every problem may seem much bigger than it really is. #1 Remember God hears you – Cry out to God Psalm 34:17-20, When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 18:6, In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. Philippians 4:6-7, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasse

BELIEVE YOUR DEBT IS MORE THAN PAID

Hebrews 10:22 "let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water"  . I would like you to imagine this scenario: You borrow a huge sum of money from a friend and promise to pay him back in six months’ time. When the time comes, you feel really bad because you cannot repay him as you don’t have the money. A year rolls by without you repaying a cent. Now, you feel extremely guilty. You try to avoid your friend because you are too embarrassed and ashamed to see him. Let’s say that your best friend hears about your plight. Out of the goodness of his heart, he goes to your creditor and says, “Look, I understand that my best friend owes you money.” “Yes, he owes me KSH50,000.” “Here is KSH100,000. I am paying you on his behalf.” Your creditor says, “No, no, no! He owes me only KSH50,000.” Your best friend says, “I know. But take the KSH100,000 so that you can n

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD EXPOSES YOUR PERFECTION

John 8:12 "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”  When I was a teenager, I heard preachers saying this: “Jesus is the light of the world. So don’t think for one moment that you can do things behind His back. His light will expose all the bad things that you have done!” So I was afraid to come near God, fearing that His glorious light would show up my faults, weaknesses and shame. But is this what “the light of the world” does? The truth is found in the context of the verse. Jesus declared that He was the light of the world right after He had told the woman caught in the act of adultery, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” When she said, “No one, Lord”, He said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Then, the Bible tells us that “Jesus spoke to them again,

GOD IS BEHIND YOUR INCREASE

Image
1 Corinthians 3:7 "So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase." Sometimes, we think that the increase or success which we enjoy is the result of our own efforts or hard work. Now, I am not advocating laziness, but the truth is that God is the one behind our increase. We see this truth when we read the story of Ruth, a young widow from Moab, who worked as a gleaner in a barley field from morning till evening. Now, we could attribute the entire ephah—a substantial 10-day supply—of barley she collected at the end of the day to her hard work. After all, she did work all day in the field. But when we read about how Boaz, the owner of the field, had secretly told his reapers to “let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean” (Ruth 2:16), we know that it was because of Boaz’s intervention t

HE GIVES HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU

Psalm 91:11–12 "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone." You are about to step onto the road when something pulls you back just in time to avoid being hit by a speeding car. You are shocked. When you come to your senses, you ask yourself, “Could it be that an angel just saved me from a fatal accident?” I believe that angels walk with us. The verse tells us that God has given His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. This means that they go ahead of you to protect you from the snares of the enemy. But we may not know it when we encounter an angel. ( Hebrews 13:2 ). God tells us that we have an innumerable company of angels. ( Hebrews 12:22 ) And He has given them charge over us to protect us from accidents and other dangers. So don’t live fearful and limit your life. B elieve that God loves you and that His angels walk with you and

DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION

Psalm 91:2 "I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." When a great storm arose as Jesus and His disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee, He did not say to His disciples, “The storm is here to teach DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION s courage.” Instead, He took authority over the storm and said, “Peace, be still!” And there was a perfect calm. (Mark 4:39) When He met the widow of Nain whose only son had died, and on another occasion, the two sisters whose brother Lazarus had died, He didn’t tell them, “God wanted to take him home.” No, He spoke to the dead son: “Young man, I say to you, arise.” (Luke 7:14) And standing outside Lazarus’ tomb, He said, “Lazarus, come forth!” (John 11:43) And both men came back to life. What have you been saying about your situation? When you feel the pain in your body, don’t say of the Lord, “God wants me sick to teach me to trust Him more.” Instead, say, “Lord Jesus,

PRAYERS

Image
Lord, I lift up my pastor to You. Thank You for his servant’s heart. Keep him from losing heart when ministry gets tough. Help him prove faithful with the things you have entrusted to him. Teach him Your ways so that he knows You and finds favor with You as He leads us. Keep him open and honest before You and help him to represent the truth plainly. (2 Corinthians 4:1; 1 Corinthians 4:1-3; Exodus 33:13) Father I pray for the lost members of our church. Let the gospel be presented to them not only through the sermon but also with power, the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity to share Your salvation. Help us to be the fragrance of Christ to them. We stand against the enemy and his attempts to keep them blinded to Your truth. (1 Thessalonians 1:5; Colossians 4:5; 2 Corinthians 2:15; 2 Corinthians 4:4) Father I pray for our Women’s Ministry. Encourage our older women to train the younger in family issues. Teach our women to be virtuous—women

FOCUS ON THE FINISHED WORK FOR DIVINE HEALTH

Psalm 118:8 ''It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." A lot of people think that the way to get health is to watch what they eat. For example, many people say that the Mediterranean diet is a very healthy one. I agree, generally. But do you know that the people whom Jesus healed were also on a Mediterranean diet? They did not eat pork and prawns, for example, because they were Jews and these things are not kosher for them. I know that you want to walk in divine health. But God does not want your focus to be on food—what to eat, what not to eat—or even exercise—how to exercise, when to exercise. All these are natural means which the people of the world trust in. It is better to trust in the Lord and His finished work, than to put your confidence in the latest man-made diet plans and exercise regimes. At the cross, Jesus took your sicknesses and carried your pains, and by His stripes you were healed. (Isaiah 53:4–5) The Bible even tells us h

GOD'S GRACE IS UNMIRITED

Image
Galatians 5:4 "You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace." What is the grace of God? Simply put, the grace of God is God blessing, healing and delivering you because of Jesus. The grace of God is His unearned, unmerited and undeserved favor toward you simply because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross. Because God’s grace is based on Jesus’ work and not yours, the only way you fall from this grace is by believing that you can earn, merit and deserve it through your obedience and good works. For example, you fall from grace when you say, “God has to answer my prayer because I have prayed long enough.” You also fall from grace when you think that because you are serving in church or you have kicked a bad habit, God is pleased with you and He has to bless you. When you think that it is b

JESUS, THE MEASURE OF YOUR RIGHTEUOSNESS

Image
2 Corinthians 5:21   "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" God wants us to seek His righteousness and not our own righteousness. When we seek our own righteousness, we will always end up feeling miserable because we can never be righteous by our works, no matter how hard we try. That is why our loving Father wants us to remember that righteousness is not right behavior but a person—Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30), and that we have “become the righteousness of God in Him”. I know of a lady who, before coming to our church, attempted to establish her own righteousness by confessing all her sins to “clean” herself up. But she found that the more she confessed her sins, the more sins she discovered in herself. She became guilt-ridden and miserable. Feeling stressed out and weary of confessing her sins all the time, she eventually left the church she was attending. In fact, she never stepped into an
