HE WANTS TO IMPACT YOU WITH WISDOM

Are you going through a rough time right now? You’re not alone. People all over the world are feeling the effects of the pandemic, it’s taken a toll on our mental, physical  and emotional health. There are many uncertainties and questions about how to move on with our lives in this ongoing crisis. Everybody’s struggling.

The Bible tells us exactly what we should do when we don’t know what to do and we’re feeling the pressure to do the right thing,

“If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won't correct you for asking. But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm” (James 1:5-6)

God isn't holding back wisdom.He gives wisdom to anybody who asks for it.

Have you asked God to give you wisdom on how to handle the pandemic? Have you asked him for wisdom on what to do about your job, your future, your kids, your health, or whatever you're struggling with? God gives wisdom to anybody who asks for it. King Solomon, one of the richest and most successful men who ever lived, had everything he needed and everything you could possibly want in life. But he still asked God for wisdom. 

He knew that riches and power and comfort meant nothing if he couldn’t make wise decisions. He wanted to honor God who gave him everything he had and so he asked for wisdom to know what to do and how to do it.

Wisdom helps you learn from any trouble you’re experiencing. It helps you to know what to do and how to move forward in a way that pleases God. He uses every challenge to develop you, not defeat you. It may seem like the world is spinning out of control and circumstances keep changing day-by-day. Your stress, your fear and your worry may be at an all-time high. But now more than ever is the time to ask “what,” instead of “why.”

Ask God what he wants you to learn from this time of crisis and what he wants you to do. He has promised to give you his wisdom in generous portions.

                        PRAYER
Lord, I’m here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like Nehemiah, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision and protection. As I face tough choices and hard situations, help me remember my belovedness, help me remember that I am your child and your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honor to your holy name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Familiarity is a curse. Familiarity is the source of many problems in our life. The problem however is that familiarity is not too familiar to many people such that they do not know its effect on their life. Too many marriages are breaking because the couple has become familiar to each other, too many families are being torn apart because children have become too familiar with their parents that they can no longer listen to them, people have lost their jobs because they became so familiar with it such that they could no longer follow the rules and sadly too many people have fallen short of the glory of God because they were too familiar to God. Pride is the undoing of the Christians faith. It most often breeds overconfidence in our lives while preventing us from doing the one thing we should be…calling out for our Savior. DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION

Psalm 91:2 "I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." When a great storm arose as Jesus and His disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee, He did not say to His disciples, “The storm is here to teach DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION s courage.” Instead, He took authority over the storm and said, “Peace, be still!” And there was a perfect calm. Psalm 91:11–12 "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone." You are about to step onto the road when something pulls you back just in time to avoid being hit by a speeding car. You are shocked.
