WORKING A GODLY RELATIONSHIP

Hebrews 10:24-25  "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching."


Learning how to love your neighbor requires a willingness to draw on the strength of Jesus Christ as you die to self and live for Him. Living in this manner allows you to practice biblical love for others in spite of adverse circumstances or your feelings to the contrary.
Love your neighbors through thick and thin... Don't seek to please them, but to please your Master; and remember, if they spurn your love, your Master has not spurned it, and your deed is acceptable to Him as if it had been acceptable to them.

There's something like radar inside the human heart that senses the displeasure of others. Displeasure and ingratitude are like a repellant to human relationships.

Aloness can lead to loneliness. God's preventative for loneliness is intimacy - meaningful, open, sharing relationships with one another. In Christ we have the capacity for the fulfilling sense of belonging which comes from intimate fellowship with God and with other believers.

The very attempt to be like our dearest Lord is already a well spring of sweetness within us, flowing with an easy grace over all who come within our reach.

John 3:16 shows that true love is climaxed by our being willing to lay down our lives for fellow believers.

It is in vain for us to pray while having conscious that we have injured another. Let us first make amends to the injured one before we dare approach God at either the private or the public altar.

We have to be willing to become vulnerable to trust Him if we wish to find security and satisfaction in Him. We have to be willing to let go of what little we have, to gain the great riches and supreme happiness He has to offer. And we have to let Him have the helm if we wish to hear the sweeter song. The "something better" is found in emptying yourself, surrendering to his lead, letting go of your life and all you hold dear, and entrusting everything to Him. Because to be loved by God is the highest relationship, the highest achievement, and the highest position in life.

"Loving the world destroys our relationship with God, it denies our faith in God and it discounts our future with God. So remember love is commitment, love is a relationship that never gives up and the relationship that never gives up the relationship between you and God the Heavenly Father."

Familiarity is a curse. Familiarity is the source of many problems in our life. The problem however is that familiarity is not too familiar to many people such that they do not know its effect on their life.
