BE A SIGNPOST

“And the Syrians had gone out on raids and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, ‘If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.’” (2 Kings 5:2–3)


Naaman was a great general who handed many military victories to the king of Assyria. But Naaman had a problem he had leprosy. 
Fortunately, a young servant girl captured from the land of Israel worked for Naaman’s wife. At an opportune time, the servant girl told Naaman’s wife that Naaman could be healed if he would see the prophet, Elisha. Ultimately, Naaman acted on the information, and he was healed from his leprosy. This “unimportant” servant girl was a signpost who pointed the way for Naaman to experience salvation from this deadly disease.


We may feel insignificant and unimportant. However, as believers, we are messengers who are able to tell people about the cure for their leprosy of sin. By fulfilling our responsibility to tell others the way of salvation, we enable them to experience the cure for the malady (sin) that would ultimately destroy them. We serve as a conduit that connects them to their heavenly Father.

The key to Naaman’s healing was the information the seemingly unimportant servant girl communicated to her mistress. Even though the servant’s name is not mentioned, she is part of a story that will echo into eternity.  As we become strategic kingdom investors for expanding the Kingdom of God, our lives, too, will echo into eternity. 



Today, ask yourself;
What opportunities do I have to communicate information that may help someone find healing and wholeness through Christ? 

Starting today, set a goal to serve as a signpost that points the way to salvation.

Familiarity is a curse. Familiarity is the source of many problems in our life. The problem however is that familiarity is not too familiar to many people such that they do not know its effect on their life. Pride is the undoing of the Christians faith. It most often breeds overconfidence in our lives while preventing us from doing the one thing we should be…calling out for our Savior. As Jesus said in Mark 2:17 “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION

Psalm 91:2 "I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." When a great storm arose as Jesus and His disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee, He did not say to His disciples, “The storm is here to teach DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOUR SITUATION s courage.” Instead, He took authority over the storm and said, “Peace, be still!” And there was a perfect calm. HE GIVES HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU

Psalm 91:11–12 "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone." You are about to step onto the road when something pulls you back just in time to avoid being hit by a speeding car. You are shocked. When you come to your senses, you ask yourself, “Could it be that an angel just saved me from a fatal accident?” I believe that angels walk with us. The verse tells us that God has given His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. This means that they go ahead of you to protect you from the snares of the enemy.
